We are excited to invite you to our Virtual ThanksGIVING Fund Raising Event.  (This seems to be the “New Norm” these days).

The year 2020 was supposed to be the Year of the Museum but instead it appears to be the Year of COVID-19.  Because of this we had to cancel the annual Wine and Roses Fund Raiser and are presently facing a slight budget shortfall.  So instead of supporting the Wine and Roses event, we have put together a short menu of items for our ThanksGIVING Table for you to consider helping with a donation.

You have always been a generous supporter of the Historical Society and we are so grateful for your membership, past contributions or participation in the Wine and Roses Gala.  This ThanksGIVING Event will give you another opportunity to contribute this year to the success of this great Organization.

Supports the purchase of seasonal flower agreements to the placed on the Welcome Wagon located at the gazebo.

Railroad Passenger – $40.00

Supports the purchase of supplies to restore and pain our railroad hand car to be used for display at the Depot.

Caboose Contributor $60.00

Supports the recurring purchase of landscaping materials for the Depot, roses, mulch, stones, etc.

Station Master – $80.00

Supports the purchase of paint and restoration items needed to repair and revive the rail motor car exhibit at the Depot.

Giacchino Giver – $100.00

Supports the on-site Seed Store restoration and aesthetic upgrades for guests, bins, racks, seed packets, rocking chairs.


Minnie’s Classmate – $150.00

Supports the purchase and acquisition of items needed to build a new exhibit in the Depot Museum.

Bayou Buddy – $200.00

Supports the materials and labor needed for repairs and restoration of the luggage wagon historical display.

Founder’s Friend – $250.00

Supports the materials and labor needed to restore and upgrade the soil, flowers, and fill around the Founder’s Statues.

General Nichols – $300.00

Helps support the labor and materials needed to repair existing Historical Landmark Signs.
