Birthplace of the Space Shuttle
Built in 1962, and originally owned by Maxime A Faget was the director of engineering and development at NASA Space Center, today known as John Space Center.
In 1969 Faget was tasked with creating a prototype for a reuseable spacecraft to reduce mission costs. Faget built a model of the spacecraft from paper, glue & Balsa wood.
The home is a Mid-Century Modern structure.
